One of my favorite little quips I like to throw out there is “humans talking about God is like dogs talking about fuel injection.” In this video, astrophysicist Neil Tyson reinforces my line of thinking. Consider that chimps share DNA that is 98 percent identical to ours, yet we compose symphonies and travel in space. The smartest chimps in the world can use rudimentary sign language. Toddler stuff.
Imagine an alien life form with only a 2 percent shift further in the same direction. They’d view the Hubble telescope as a “cute” (at best…)
Tyson fears we are simply too stupid to figure out the universe.
