I think people like nice office space. It help attract recruits to your company. Back when they hired them, I bet it was a better job market and trying to entice them with their office space in Hoboken would probably not be a big sell. However, you’re right, if you have to have an East Coast presence, now is a different time, which means opening up an office in Hoboken might actually fly.
